19th July 2009  -  Hull to Grimsby
Slipped Hull Marina just after 0300hrs, quick blast down the Humber to Grimsby.

Looks like our fuel problem is resolved, no reported issues on this trip, entered Grimsby Fish Dock at 0430hrs.

Where are those darn buoys!  ;-) Nope, can't see any that way either!
By the time we had sorted ourselves it was 0600hrs,  so time to try and get a couple of hours sleep, that was the plan anyway but just as we were about to retire the generator shut itself down.

Investigation resulted in finding a broken drive belt on the water pump - did we have a spare? Of course not!

In an attempt to get a couple of hours sleep before trying to fix the generator we retired at 0700hrs only to be woken by the fuel man at 0830hrs - on a Sunday!?!

To cut a long story short after a few trips to Halfords we managed to replace the drive belt and all was well - Next stop Lowestoft.

Grimsby - on the fuel jetty - just need the nice fuel man now!
We departed Grimsby Fish Dock at 1615hrs and with the tide proceeded out to sea. Reasonable journey to start, sea state was ok (not ideal but bearable) so we pushed on.  Unfortunately the planned 8 hour cruise was extended to 10 hours due to poor visibility once we had crossed the wash and deteriorating sea state so we were forced to slow up for the final leg.

We moored in Lowestoft's Hamilton Dock (ABP) marina and after a quick bite to eat retired to catch up on some sleep.

Was quite pleasant at this point!
Day 4: Lowestoft to Ramsgate - to follow.....
